The Hollywood Prep Workshop is a two day, intense acting and learning experience, designed for both beginning actors and stage actors who wish to learn tips and techniques for expanding to film and tv.
TRUTH. It's what every actor seeks to convey. Many acting techniques have been developed over the years and you will learn the basic premises behind the major techniques. The Hollywood Prep Workshop is a fast-paced, information packed experience with limited class size so that everyone works. You will experience cold reading, scene study, ongoing training and realistic film and television auditions and direction using various directing techniques.
You will learn the basics of effective headshots, resumes, acting reels and audition techniques. You will understand what is needed to adapt to the fast-paced world of tv and film work. Both theatre and on-set terminology will be covered, as well as representation, unions and the business of show-business.
Whether you are an actor with experience, ready for a concentrated brush-up or you have never acted but are ready to take your first steps, the workshop is designed to provide you with valuable information and an an experience that will awaken the actor within!

If there's one thing that anyone who has spend any time working Hollywood can tell you, it's that while the town is full of hard working and honest professionals, there is also no shortage of people who thrive on exploiting new talent. Your best indicators of future success are your willingness to work hard at your craft and work smart at the business of show business. Beware of anyone who uses the word, "guarantee." Your success as an actor will take dedication, hard work, and time.
While most of the workshop will focus on what you need to do to move forward, we will cover a bit of the underbelly of the business, and how to protect yourself from common scams, both in Hollywood and in your own home town. You'll learn when it's appropriate to get out your wallet, and when it is not.
